More than 9.6 million people across Pakistan in lockdown



Based on the National Command and Operational Centre's track trace and quarantine strategy, lockdowns are underway in various parts of Pakistan.

In this regard, 528 areas have been locked down in all provinces including the federal capital Islamabad, Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The total population of the lockdown areas is 9626702.

The details of the population affected by the lockdown in individual provinces and regions are as follows:

Punjab Lockdown: Population of 131 Lockdown Areas - 1948315

Sindh Lockdown: Population of 68 Lockdown Areas - 4951000

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lockdown: Population of 262 Lockdown Areas - 792473

Pakistan-administered Kashmir Lockdown: Population of 32 Lockdown Areas - 1611221

Islamabad Lockdown: Population of 14 Lockdown Areas - 170,000

Gilgit-Baltistan Lockdown: Population of 21 Lockdown Areas - 153693.
