Thousands take to the streets of the German capital, Berlin, to protest against the ban on the global coronavirus.
The number of protesters participating in the protest rally is said to be more than ten thousand. The rally did not take into account social distance, nor did people wear face masks. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
The rally was organized under the theme "Independence Day from Corona" in which protesters from all over Germany were protesting against the federal government's Corona virus policies.
On Saturday, people in the center of Berlin chanted slogans such as "Freedom, freedom, freedom" against wearing masks, social distance and precautions. Music, banners and placards were also seen on the trucks in the procession.
Protests in Berlin, on the one hand, with various groups, right-wing conservatives, rallied against the precautionary measures against the corona virus, and on the other hand, people associated with the left also propagated conspiracy theories about the corona virus. And protested against fake news.
On this occasion, a heavy contingent of police was deployed across the city to prevent any untoward incident.
There have been more than 210,000 cases of corona and more than 9,000 deaths in Germany so far.
Despite the potential threat of a second wave of the corona virus epidemic in Germany, life has already softened considerably. But protesters have demanded that the security measures be lifted.
